Many a year has passed since I bought my first Testament album and was blown away by their thrash and technical mayhem. This year however the band released what may be one of their best yet.
"The Formantion of Damnation" is a power crunching teeth rattling journey of intrisict beauty. It will have your neck crunching in a matter of seconds. With that in mind we were absolutely stoked to ride up the hill to Asheville, NC to check them out.
We were not disappointed in the least as the live show brought all of the brilliance of the album to life in a thousand more decibels. To top it off we got to hear some killer classics from the olden thrash days.
I consider it a great priveledge anytime I get to see these bands that paved the way for Thrash Metal in a time when it was not the mainstream thing to do.
They spit in the face of the norm and brought great rebellion and force to music.
If you get a chance check Testament out because if you dont you will miss a fantastic spectacle.
