Takin' it to the EDGE COUNTRY side again with LUCERO. This music is Southern and Bluesy with a ton of Angst an "TUDE".
We caught this band in "Our Favorite Venue" THE VALARIUM whilst they were roaming about the country with SOCIAL DISTORTION. I found myself captivated with the "soul" of their sound.
LUCERO is keeping alive what we hope will be a long continuing legacy of the Rebel attitude of the genre, which harkens back to the likes of Hank Williams (Sr) and even further, we're sure. Folk music and Country have always had a rebellious tone, but for the most part it's been kept quiet and no one shined a light on it, it was just "understood"...a given.
Bands Like LUCERO are part of a growing mass of "Cross together" or Style Collaborative" bands that are sweeping their way into the ears and hearts of very many and Shining a light BRIGHTLY while doing so. We'd like to thank'em for the enjoyment we experienced while listening to them and we invite all of Y'all to get out and see'em the very first chance you get.
