In Flames one of the early saviors of metal along with many of the Swedish wave gave a stellar set recently in Texas and we were all there. With a brand of in your face no holds barred metal.
In Flames has and will be one of my favorite bands for a long time. The crunchy hooky riffs reminescent of earlier thrash mixed with modern sound techniques is highlighted by the depth and soul of the lyrics.
The show opened with "Sound of a Playground Fading" taking hold of the stage with a tribal swarm. The band then proceeded to mercilessly pound the wounds like a prize fighter that has seen a wound. All in all there were 16 songs of In Flames classics that totally leveled the room and gave everyone there moneys worth.
If you have a chance you should go check these boys out it is worth it every single time. They are in my opinion one of the best live bands you will ever see.
