This month we found a wickedly brilliant Icelandic Death Metal Band known as Darknote. The group has an EP coming out very soon and let me tell you it will be snapped up by the metal gods very quickly. The thunder and energy in this music makes me want to smash something. If you like technical Death Metal Darknote is for you!

Bio
"From Reykjavík Iceland, sharing influences from America and
Europe, comes Darknote - a metal band bringing a whirlwind
of emotions and a wide range of sonic abuse. The band started
as a project of Vilhjálmur and Jón Dal in early 2004. Later on
Diddi, Freyr and Karl joined in and the band took a turn into a
new more aggressive direction. Darknote was formed."
"Unfortunately, Darknote's guitarist Freyr recently decided to
take a break from music, so Fannar replaced him."
"Having gained recognition in the Icelandic metal scene, and being
praised by the editor of Metal Edge Magazine, Darknote is full of
confidence and currently working on their first self-released EP
