Brides of Kong

Having now recorded two albums and the third in the writing stage, this is an exciting time for a band who came together in 2006 and who have plans to promote their forthcoming record with a series of gigs and events.
We are hoping to gain even more recognition in 2009.

History

Brides of Kong were formed from
the ashes of a band called
The Crypt Kicker Five in early 2003
and consisted of two of the present
members, Ant O’Beirn and Paul
Hickman. The band was a mixture
of eclectic tastes, as the bass player
at the time had a taste for the
absurd, however this line up was
transformed into the present line-up
when both the drummer and bass
player left to pursue other projects and the band was made up by the recruitment of Drummer Martin Winsley and Bassist Dave Dee in the early part of 2006.

The band have a policy that if they like it then they play it, with this in mind they choose to change the styles of their music in order to keep them fresh and to not be labelled by any one sound.
This is essentially a hard rock band with broad flavour and with all four members having very diverse music taste this is catered for in the music that they play.
