Black Hand Throne
Bio:
Black Hand Throne was formed in the early part of 2008 by Todd Holford (guitar/vocals) and Adam Shealy (guitar). After the demise of Todd’s former band, Manticore, the pair wanted to create some truly Southern Metal with a unique and bluesy feel.
With the focus being on playing music with people they could get along with, Todd and Adam brought in Bobby Coles (bass), a long-time friend and former bassist with Moth Sessions, as well as Dan Barber (drums). The quintet was completed by, Denny Stone (vocals), also formerly of Manticore.
Black Hand Throne’s sound combines aspects of stoner/doom with an old school thrash flavor, drawing on influences from High On Fire, Goatsnake, Slayer, Intronaut, and Black Sabbath.
