Allison Barkley lives on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. She travelled for about five years through the Yukon Territories and has been across Canada several times, soaking up the Canadian culture. Many of her songs have a solitary feel to them from the time spent alone on the road, writing and living. Allison is also an avid oil painter and short film maker.

Allison is influenced by many different forms of music, from folk, old jazz and blues and she is influenced by the illiteration of Bob Dylan and the crankiness of Tom Waits and of course and always...Johnny Cash.
